West Florida knocked off 25th-ranked Delta State by a final of 40-28 on Saturday night. The Argos led by two touchdowns at halftime but Delta State rallied to take the lead 28-27 early in the fourth quarter. However, that lead would last only one play as the Argos came right back with a long scoring strike to reclaim the lead. They would add another fourth quarter score to get home with a 40-28 victory. Marcus Stokes had a big night for UWF, completing 17 of 21 passes for 326 yards and 3 TD. Corey Scott and Jakobe Quillen each had over 100 yards receiving. Full story to follow.
