D2Football.com is pleased to announce the players of the week for week nine of the 2024 season. 

Offense

Jarod Epperson

Running Back 

Augustana

Jarod Epperson made the most of his final appearance in the Key to the City game and final scheduled home game at Augustana. The senior from Omaha, Nebraska posted 277 total yards and two touchdowns in the Vikings’ rivalry game victory over Sioux Falls. Epperson averaged 11.2 yards on 18 carries, totalling 202 yards with a pair of rushing touchdowns. His explosive plays included scoring runs of 62 and 47 yards, plus a 75-yard pass reception.

Cameren Grodhaus

Davenport

Cameren Grodhaus set a new program record with 25 total tackles in Davenport’s 52-31 win over Northern Michigan. Fourteen of his stops were credited as solo tackles. For the season, Grodhaus leads his team in total tackles, solo tackles, interceptions and pass breakups. Cameron Grodhaus is a graduate student from Wellsville, Ohio.

Zane Adams

Defensive lineman

Central Oklahoma

Zane Adams made the game saving play in Central Oklahoma’s come from behind win at Washburn last Saturday. The Bronchos clung to a one-point lead as Washburn lined up for a 43 yard field goal attempt on what would be the final play of the game. Adams disrupted the interior protection and penetrated the backfield far enough to get a hand on the ball and alter its course. The kick cleared the line of scrimmage but fell harmlessly in the end zone. Adams also led the team in solo tackles with six and forced a fumble . Zane Adams is a senior from Haskell, Oklahoma.
