D2Football.com is pleased to announce the players of the week for week six of the 2024 season.

Offense

Colin Johnson
Quarterback
UNC Pembroke
Colin Johson rewrote UNC Pembroke’s record book in last Saturday afternoon’s win over West Liberty. Johnson completed 29 of 43 pass attempts for a single-game school record 514 yards. It was the first time ever that a UNCP quarterback passed for over 500 yards in a game. His seven touchdown passes broke his own school record that he had set earlier in his career. Defense

Dion Kuinlan
Defensive Bank
Assumption
Dion Kuinlan was the leader of an Assumption defense that shutout Bentley in the second half of the Greyhounds’ 16-13 home victory. Kuinlan had 15 total tackles on the day, 13 of which were credited as solo tackles. His fourth quarter interception and 21-yard return set up Assumption’s game winning field goal. He also had two passes broken up. For the season to date, Kuinlan ranks second in the nation in solo tackles per game. Dion Kuinlan is a graduate student from Bethpage, NY.
