Jay Harris
Running Back, Northwest Missouri State
Jay Harris led the Northwest Missouri State offense in the Bearcats’ 34-21 win over Central Oklahoma. The sophomore from St. Louis, Mo Averaged 12.5 yards per rush, carrying the ball 22 times for a total of 274 yards. He scored four touchdowns on the day with runs of 15, 64, 45 and 44 yards. His 274 yards ranks as the fifth highest single-game total in Bearcats history. Harris has rushed for over 100 yards in every game this season.
Sal Lupoli, Jr.
Linebacker, Bentley
Bentley Linebacker Sal Lupoli, Jr. had a huge day in the Falcons’ close loss at Saint Anselm. His 20 total tackles is the most in a single game by any Division II player this season. Among that total were 13 solo stops, 3.5 tackles for loss of 23 yards and 2 sacks for loss of 18 yards. He also registered a quarterback hurry. Lupoli, Jr. is a graduate student from Chelmsford, Ma.
Griffin Milovanski
Kicker, Wayne State
Wayne State earned its first GLIAC win over the weekend with a 23-21 victory over Michigan Tech. The win would not have been possible without the kicking of Griffin Milovanski. On a windy day in Detroit, Milovanski converted on all three of his field goal attempts from 22, 38 and 47 yards. He also hit both PATs for a total of 11 points. On kickoffs, he averaged 51.8 yards on five kicks with two recorded touchbacks. The conditions were not conducive for kicking and proved to be a challenge for Michigan Tech as the Huskies missed all three field goal attempts on the day.
